WHAT IS IMAGO?

IMAGO Relationship Theory is based on the work of Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. and Helen La Kelly-Hunt, Ph.D., and their several best selling books including "Getting the Love You Want: A Guide for Couples", which has sold over 1.5 million copies. Since its publication in 1988, over 2000 therapists in 20 countries have trained in IMAGO Theory and Practice, and more than 60,000 couples have experienced and benefited from attending IMAGO Workshops.

IMAGO Relationship Theory helps to clarify why we are attracted to certain people and explores a deeper understanding of the nature of conflict. It offers insights on how people can create fulfilling and deeply satisfying relationships. People who have experienced IMAGO Theory through workshops, seminars, lectures and counselling frequently say that IMAGO "just makes sense". It also offers more: a sense of possibility. IMAGO Theory offers a way to not only deepen loving, intimate relationships, but also improve all our interactions with people.

 
ABOUT IMAGO UK

We are an IMAGO Local Organisation, which provides support services in the United Kingdom to:

1. IMAGO Therapists.
   
   

2. IMAGO Educators -  a person who has had the clinical training to use the Intentional Dialogue in organisational settings.
   
   

3. IMAGO Members Awaiting Certification - a person who has done the training and is awaiting certification.

We also act as a resource site for people who want to know more about IMAGO or who would like to access a Therapist or Educator.

Another of our aims is to facilitate the growth of IMAGO Relationship Therapy by arranging ongoing training, professional support, programme development and workshops. We connect with each other in planning meetings, peer group supervision, advanced trainings and workshops.
